Hi there! I'm Todd Hayes, head honcho at Hayes Digital Marketing. I love helping small businesses grow using my decades of experience in the internet world... and I hate talking about myself in the 3rd person.
Introducing The Go Cowley Project - Cowley County Kansas
The Go Cowley Project

Why We Started The Go Cowley Project
If you’ve ever tried to find a local business or event around here, you know how it goes.
You hear about something on Facebook…
Maybe you see a flyer somewhere…
Or someone tells you about a great business after the fact.
There’s not really one place where it all lives.
That’s what got me thinking about this.
So here’s the idea
I wanted to build a simple site where people can go and see what’s happening across Cowley County.
I wanted to feature local businesses and events in Ark City, Winfield, and the smaller towns too.
To top it all off, we wanted to make it FREE for everyone to use.
Nothing complicated. Just one place that puts it all together.
You can check it out here:

Why it matters for businesses like yours
You and I both know there are a lot of great businesses around Cowley that just don’t get seen online.
Not because they’re doing anything wrong.
Just because visibility is tough, especially in smaller markets.
This gives every local business another place to show up.
Another way for someone to find them when they’re actually looking.
And over time, that kind of visibility adds up.
It’s not meant to replace anything
You still need your website.
You still need your Google listing.
This just supports all of that.
Think of it as one more signal that says, “this business is here, it’s active, and it’s local.”

Jana and I built it for this area
This isn’t some random business directory.
Jana and I put this together because we’re from here, and we care about what’s happening here.
She brings the creative side, I handle the technical and marketing side, and this is something we both wanted to build for the Cowley community.
The site is hyper-local, the business directory, events calendar, even the articles are made to be helpful to local searchers, local businesses, and the community as a whole.
One other piece behind the scenes
We started a Facebook page for the site, we'd love to have you follow it here:
I also set up a simple Google-hosted page to back it up and help search engines understand what the project is.
It’s pretty basic, but it does the job.
Little things like that help a local website get shown in the search results for the area.
Right now, it’s just getting started
The current site (as of 04/15/2026) is just the start.
We're building it out, adding businesses, getting events on there, and making sure it’s actually useful... and usable.
A lot of back-end coding went into the site to try to make it easy for a small business owner to add or claim their listing on the directory.
It's getting close... we're anxious for folks to add their business, events, or even post some articles.
If you’re local
Take a minute and look around the site.
If you’ve got a business, make sure you’re on there.
If you’ve got an event coming up, get it listed.
It's free!
That’s really it
We just wanted a better way for people to find what’s already available in Cowley and help local searchers find small businesses online.
This is a step in that direction. We hope you'll join us there!
